The German-American Cultural Foundation proudly presents Centennial Olympic Park as its new location of the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ 2019

Since 2016 the Atlanta Christkindl Market™ presented by the German-American Cultural Foundation (GAC-F) has been spreading German Christmas spirit throughout Atlanta, Georgia. With humble beginnings the GAC-F’s official holiday event and the city’s largest German Christmas Market has been growing fast and brought in over 400,000 visitors in 2018. In 2019 the four-week long Atlanta Christkindl Market™ will start on November 21st and run through December 24th and it will move to Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta. “We are very excited about the partnership with Centennial Olympic Park and the Georgia World Congress Center”, says Dennis Wagner, Chairman of GAC-F. The Georgia World Congress Center is the authority operating Centennial Olympic Park.

“Our mutual goal for 2019 is to attract well over 1.2 million visitors and have the biggest and most impressive German Christmas Market in the United States”, says Joe Bocherer, GWCC’s Chief Commercial Officer. With up to 80 charming Bavarian-style wooden chalets the German American Cultural Foundation will tempt visitors with traditional German food, beverages, handcrafted products like ornaments, nutcrackers, and toys. At Centennial Olympic Park a festive winter-wonderland ambience works hand in hand to create the authentic German holiday experience. This is an event that will spread holiday cheer amongst children and adults alike, while exposing them to the festivities of one of the Germany’s oldest cultural traditions.

The Atlanta Christkindl Market™ at Centennial Olympic Park is opening its doors from November 21 to December 24, free to enter daily from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm.
