Deputy Secretary

Carsten Alting, partner at Hall Booth Smith, P.C., is based in Atlanta, Georgia and practices in the areas of business law, corporate law, international transactions (between the U.S and EU countries), investments, immigration and civil practice. The practice is primarily focused on U.S. inbound business coming from Germany (and other EU countries, especially German-speaking countries). He is a member of the German (Munich), Georgia, and New York bars.


Mr. Alting has been practicing in the U.S. for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, PC, he was of counsel with the firm of Nelson Mullins. Mr. Alting is fluent in the German, English and French languages.


Mr. Alting completed his German law studies at the University of Mainz in 1988 and received a Master’s of Law degree from St. Louis University of Law in 1994. He passed the German 2nd state exam in 1991 and was admitted to practice law in Germany in 1991.
