GACC South Open Golf Tournament
In 2004 Dennis Wagner and Susanne Lauda, two German executives in the German-American business community, organized the first German-American Business Charity Golf Tournament.
Over the years the tournament has expanded beyond the community. Under the patronage of Dennis Wagner and BESTAR LLC the event has celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024. In recent years, proceeds from the tournament have primarily benefited the German School of Atlanta.
„Collaboration amongst the German business and cultural organizations in the Southeast is essential“, says Dennis Wagner. „And having the German-American Cultural Foundation supporting the event has helped to raise more than 100,000 US$ over the years.“
After two decades of unforgettable drives and putts, it's time to swing bigger. In a partnership with the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC), the legendary German American Charity Golf Tournament is transforming into the GACC South Open Golf Tournament, this reimagined tournament is set to become the can't-miss networking event — where industry leaders, executives, and golf lovers collide for a day of high-stakes competition and lasting connections.

Registration, breakfast and warm-up starts at 8:00 am, shotgun start will be at 9:00 am. As in previous years our format will be a scramble. There will be awards for the winning team (gross/net), longest drive and closest to the pin. Upon returning to the clubhouse we hope you will join us for lunch, raffle and the award ceremony.
