OUR HISTORY
The German American Cultural Foundation was established in 2008 by Hans-Joerg Brunner, Rudi Herbst, Martin Richenhagen, Peter Schwarzenbauer, Teri A. Simmons.
At the time, the founders recognized the importance of supporting the existing German-speaking expat community in Georgia as well as the fast growing relationships in business, academia, cultural arts, and more between Georgia and Germany.
Over the years, as Atlanta and Georgia established themselves as strong locations for global trade, the German American Cultural Foundation increased the number of members, board of directors, and corporate sponsors to include AGCO, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and many other German and American companies.
